Having a disaster supply kit is of utmost importance when preparing for any emergencies. In addition to making a family disaster plan, you must also have supplies on hand to last each person at least three to five days.

- One gallon water per person per day
- Canned or packaged food
- Battery-powered radio
- First aid kit
- Flashlight
- Manual can opener
- Extra batteries
- Toiletries
- Blankets or sleeping bags
- Prescription medications
- Special items for infant, elderly or disabled members of the household
